The world of food and nutrition can be an overwhelming one! In an age where social media is king, it can be very difficult to decipher what is reliable information and what can be potentially harmful or dangerous. Adolescent female athletes can be a particularly vulnerable population; dispelling nutrition myths and providing proper information to our girls supports the development of a healthy relationship with both food and body. Proper nutrition is essential for growth, hormonal functioning, not to mention optimal performance. Our approach emphasizes moderation, balance, and enjoyment of a variety of foods with a special focus on performance. We do not believe in diets, “good foods”, or “bad foods”. We take an individualized approach with our clients that focus on meeting their unique needs and challenges. We believe in empowering our girls to make choices that they feel good about that will nourish and support their bodies!
